Accounting & Interface Specifications Consultant

Job description

Support Finance and IT teams in defining, drafting, and implementing accounting interfaces by providing both business and technical expertise.

Expected Deliverables:

• Functional and technical specifications for interfaces
• Documentation of inter-system accounting flows
• Test plans and validation of developments
• Recommendations for process optimization
• Manual maintenance of accounting flows until full automation is implemented

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze accounting requirements and inter-application flows (ERP, financial tools, third-party systems)
• Draft detailed functional and technical specifications
• Ensure data consistency and compliance with accounting standards
• Participate in workshops with Finance and IT teams
• Oversee testing and acceptance of interfaces
• Manually operate and monitor accounting flows during the transition phase to ensure continuity and accuracy until automated solutions are deployed

Key Skills:

• Expertise in accounting (local and international standards)
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Exact GLOBE, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of data exchange protocols (API, EDI, XML)
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Experience in project management and cross-team coordination

Desired Profile:

• Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting integration or migration projects, ideally in multi-system environments
• Personal Qualities: Strong analytical skills, autonomy, organizational ability, and capacity to manage complex situations in a project mode
• Languages: Professional proficiency in English - Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
• Plus: Experience in implementing accounting interfaces and managing manual flows prior to automation
